We offer two types of Sinus Lift Surgery at Kalmar.
When there's sufficient bone volume for implant stability, but not enough to accommodate the full length of the desired implant (up to 4 mm), we perform a small sinus lift. This procedure, conducted just before implant placement, involves lifting the sinus floor and mucous membrane using a specialized instrument called an osteotome. The space is then filled with a bone substitute before the implant is placed.
Safe and precise planning of implant therapy is preceded by an evaluation and detailed diagnostic processing of a 3D CBCT imaging based on which the position of the implant is determined with respect to the volume and density of the jaw bone. If, based on the 3D CBCT imaging, the volume of the bone is found not to be satisfactory, we approach the bone augmentation (bone grafting) before the implant installation itself. The surgical procedure is carried out under local anesthesia and is completely painless for patients.
We have a very streamlined process that requires patients only one visit to complete the procedure. Here are three simple steps involved:
During your personalized consultation, our expert team will assess your oral health needs and discuss the sinus lift procedure in detail, ensuring all your questions are answered.
Using advanced 3D imaging technology, we'll precisely evaluate your bone structure and sinus anatomy to plan the most effective approach for your sinus lift surgery.
Finally, our skilled surgeons perform the sinus lift procedure, gently raising the sinus floor and filling the space with bone graft material, ensuring optimal conditions for future implant placement.
