Surgical procedures/implantology:

All procedures are done under local anesthesia, ensuring no pain during the surgery. Afterward, you may experience slight swelling and manageable pain. This will last a short time. Painkillers can be taken if needed, but avoid aspirin or similar medications that increase bleeding.

Dental implant placement is a brief surgical procedure, with each implant taking about 20 minutes to install.

Some bleeding after surgery is normal. It will be in small amounts. Avoid rinsing your mouth, and if bleeding persists for several days, contact us for assistance.

No, we use dissolvable stitches that will naturally fall out on their own within 10-15 days, eliminating the need for additional visits.

Eat lightly before surgery, and discuss any medications with your doctor. Avoid smoking before and after surgery, and monitor blood pressure and blood sugar levels if necessary.

Use a soft toothbrush and avoid electric toothbrushes or mouthwash initially. Clean the area carefully with cotton soaked in chlorhexidine solution, and avoid water flossers for a few days.

Your doctor may prescribe antibiotics and painkillers, which should be taken as directed to aid in healing.

Avoid chewing on the treated side, drinking through a straw, and strenuous activities for the first week. Smoking is strictly prohibited to ensure successful healing.

Most healthy individuals with sufficient bone can do implant placement. However, a thorough examination and 3D CBCT scan are needed for accurate planning.

Consult your doctor before the procedure if you are taking blood thinners, to ensure safe administration.

While standard practice is to wait for bone recovery, immediate placement may be feasible in some cases, shortening the overall treatment time.

Osseointegration is the fusion of the implant with the jawbone, a crucial process lasting 3-5 months before the final prosthetic work.

Biannual check-ups are necessary for guaranteeing the longevity of your dental work and addressing any issues promptly.

Prosthetic works:

Metal ceramic crowns feature a metal alloy base covered with ceramic, offering exceptional strength and resistance. It is ideal for posterior teeth subject to strong chewing forces. In contrast, zircon ceramic crowns utilize a zircon base resembling a natural tooth, known for its transparency and translucency, mimicking the appearance of real teeth. Zircon is biocompatible, posing no risk of allergic reactions.

In cases of a single missing tooth with sufficient alveolar bone, a dental implant is recommended to avoid compromising adjacent healthy teeth. However, if neighboring teeth are already compromised, a bridge may be a suitable prosthetic solution.

For longevity of your dental bridge, maintain daily oral hygiene practices like brushing twice a day with a soft toothbrush, flossing, and using interdental brushes. Regular professional cleanings and annual dental check-ups are essential for optimal bridge maintenance.

It may be possible to expedite prosthetic work depending on individual circumstances. But remember that the quality and longevity of the work require adherence to specific phases and timeframes. It is essential to follow the dentist's recommendations for a perfect final result.

You can submit a photo, but the final prosthetic work must align with your facial structure and personality. We customize each prosthetic work to fit perfectly in size, color, and shape, ensuring harmony with your natural features.

Bruxism, characterized by unconscious teeth clenching and grinding, can damage prosthetic work quickly. To safeguard your teeth, we recommend wearing a dental splint during sleep. This custom-made splint, crafted from transparent material, prevents wear and tear caused by bruxism.

Before permanent cementation, you will have opportunities for tests and adjustments to ensure your satisfaction. We prioritize patient involvement and won't finalize any work until you are completely content with the outcome.

Radiology:

A comprehensive offer is only possible after evaluating the orthopan and oral cavity. Orthopan, a two-dimensional X-ray capturing all teeth and surrounding bone structures, is essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

A 3D CBCT image becomes necessary when the panoramic image lacks adequate information about the desired area or anatomical structures. It is indispensable for planning implant or surgical procedures, such as complicated extractions or maxillary sinus lifts.

Utilizing the Morita Veraviewepocs 3D R100 device, our imaging process involves minimal radiation exposure. Patients face minimal risk with 90% less radiation than conventional X-rays and short exposure times (7.4 seconds for orthopan, 9.4 seconds for 3D CBCT). Our devices are regularly maintained and certified by relevant authorities.

Before imaging, remove all jewelry and items around your head and neck. Mobile dental replacements should also be taken out during the procedure to ensure accurate imaging.

Pregnant individuals, especially in the first trimester, are advised to avoid X-rays. If imaging is necessary, it is safest in the second trimester, with approval from your gynecologist.

Children can undergo panoramic imaging due to the minimal radiation dose. Our equipment is adjusted for children to further minimize exposure.

Both orthopan and 3D CBCT images can be provided on CD. The cost for an orthopan CD recording is 220 kn (30,00 €), while for 3D CBCT, it's 750 kn (100,00 €).
